Search for Landscapes
"Search for Landscapes" project develops around a group of found vintage slides, which depict one family's travel around the world in the 1960s. American freedom of mobility in the 50s and 60s allowed for numerous travels around the world’s exotic locations and well-known pilgrimage sites. The quotidian domestic was replaced with the exotic. While looking into materiality and physicality of these objects, I am also exploring the history of travel, visual tourism, and relationship we have to the culture and history of particular tourist sites.
